Strategy

The Strategy section is the heart of Poker Toolkit: this is where you build, organize, and memorize your entire poker strategy. It brings together two major pillars — Ranges and Concepts — to cover every aspect of your learning.

Why Use the Strategy Section?

Getting better at poker means knowing both what to play (ranges) and understanding why (concepts). The Strategy section combines both in a single space:

  • Ranges — Create, organize, and memorize your preflop ranges with visual grids and training modes
  • Concepts — Capture your strategic reflections in markdown notes, structure them with AI, and lock them into memory with flashcards and spaced repetition
  • Connections — Link your concepts to your ranges with embedded links to build a complete knowledge network

Result: You build a complete strategy that's documented and, most importantly, memorized.

The 2 Pillars

🎯 Ranges — Your Preflop Range Grids

Ranges let you create, organize, and memorize your preflop ranges with powerful visual tools.

What you can do:

  • Create ranges visually (13×13 grid) or as text (poker notation)
  • Organize your ranges into folders by position, format, stack size
  • Memorize with Learn Mode (quiz) and Draw Mode (draw from memory)
  • Import preset ranges (Push or Fold, MTT, Cash Game)
  • Export and share your ranges

📝 Concepts — Your Poker Strategy Notes

Concepts let you capture, structure, and memorize your poker knowledge beyond ranges. Coaching notes, spot analyses, theoretical concepts — everything belongs here.

The Concepts learning flow follows 4 steps:

StepFeatureWhat You Do
1. CaptureConceptsCreate markdown notes to capture your poker ideas
2. StructureAI StructuringAI organizes and improves your raw notes
3. ExtractFlashcardsAI generates question-answer flashcards from your concepts
4. ReviewSpaced RepetitionReview your flashcards at the right time for lasting memorization

Each step reinforces the next: well-structured notes produce better flashcards, and well-targeted flashcards make memorization easier.

How the Two Pillars Work Together

Ranges and Concepts aren't isolated — they complement each other through embedded links:

  • In a concept "BB Defense vs BTN", you can embed your BB vs BTN grid directly to illustrate your strategy
  • In a concept "3-bet spots", you can link your 3-bet ranges from each position
  • Range folders and concept folders coexist in the same Strategy Finder

Practical example:

  1. Create your open ranges by position (Ranges → Editor)
  2. Create a concept "Preflop Opening Principles" (Concepts)
  3. Embed your grids in the concept via embedded links
  4. Structure the concept with AI (AI Structuring)
  5. Extract flashcards (Flashcards)
  6. Memorize everything: ranges via Learn Mode, concepts via Spaced Repetition

Start with Ranges if you want to build your preflop ranges first. Start with Concepts if you want to capture and organize your strategic thinking. The two complement each other — you can embed your ranges directly into your concepts!
