Tags
Tags describe what each grid is for: which format, which position, which spot, which stack depth. They are how the app builds your program and your sequences, draws the table in Situations and filters your library.
Good news: most of the time you have nothing to do. Packs arrive tagged, your library was tagged automatically, and new grids take their folder's tags.
Categories
Every tag has a category (a type). A chip shows only its name (Button, 25–40bb) and the category reads from its colour: each category has its own. Hover a chip to read its category ("Position: Button").
Vs tags show with a leading "vs" (vs Button, vs Cut-off) so you never mix them up with the Position tags of the same seat.

Your existing tags became tags of type Other: they display and filter exactly as before, in the Other type's colour.
Choosing the colours
The default colours are deliberately calm. To change them, open your profile, then Tag colours: one row per category (Other included), with a preview and a palette of tones. Your choice applies everywhere (grid pages, library, filters) and follows you on all your devices. Reset brings back the default colours of the categories.
The colour of an Other tag
Each tag of type Other can have its own colour, picked from the same palette. Without a choice, it takes the Other type's colour. Four ways to pick it:
- while editing, tap the colour dot of an Other tag and pick a tone, or Type colour to go back to the Other type's colour;
- when adding an Other tag, tap the palette in the pill before typing the value: the pill takes the chosen tone (an existing Other tag keeps its colour if you pick none);
- to reuse an existing Other tag, open the pill on Other: the list shows all your Other tags, most used first, each in its colour, and narrows as you type. As soon as an existing tag is highlighted (arrows) or typed in full, the pill takes its colour;
- in Tag colours, the Other tags section lists all your Other tags, each with its palette and Type colour.
The colour follows you on all your devices. Other categories keep one colour for all their tags.
Adding a tag
- On a grid's or a concept's page, tap the tag line (or Add tags when it has none). Elsewhere, open the menu of a grid or a concept and choose Edit tags (for a folder: Folder tags…, see below)
- Tap + Add a tag: the button turns into a chip to fill in, already in its category's colour
- To change the category, tap the colour dot at the start of the chip and pick it from the list: the chip takes its colour. The category you last used on this device is already chosen (Other the first time)
- Type the value in the chip ("New tag"): the values already used in your library show below it, most used first. Pick one (arrows then Enter, or tap it), or type a new value and press Enter (or tap ✓)
The chip stays open, empty, in the same category, so you can add several tags in a row; Esc, or a click outside while it is empty, closes it.
Suggestions come from the category's vocabulary and from the values already used in your library. For Format, Speed, Position and Vs, you must pick a value from the list. A tag is 32 characters at most, category included.
Grids and concepts use the same categories.
Packs arrive tagged
When you import a pack (MTT path (discovery), Structured MTT, Cash game ranges to adapt, Expresso ranges to adapt, Push or Fold), every folder and grid arrives with its tags. For example, the UTG folder of the Cash game ranges to adapt pack carries Cash game, 10-max and UTG, and its "vs Cut Off" grid (UTG opened, CO re-raises) also carries Facing a 3-bet (Spot) and vs Cut-off (Vs). In the Structured MTT pack, every grid also carries its Stage and, except at the early stage, its Stack (40–60bb, 25–40bb, 15–25bb).
Automatic detection
With this release, your library was tagged once, automatically, the first time the app loaded. The app reads your folder and grid names ("UTG", "20bb", "Push or fold"…) and infers tags from them.
A name with a stack range ("20-30bb", "20bb-30bb") gives that range (20–30bb); a single stack ("22bb") gives its range (20–25bb).
Grids imported from a range pack before tags existed are recognised whatever the app language was when you imported them, including under the packs' old names: "Basic ranges" (now Cash game ranges to adapt; "Ranges de base", "Basis-Ranges"… in other languages) and "Expresso" (now Expresso ranges to adapt), as well as "Structured MTT" and Push or Fold: they get the same tags a pack import gives today. If you renamed a folder or grid of the pack, its new name is read instead, like your own grids.
- It only adds: nothing is changed or removed.
- It only adds a category to grids that do not have one yet.
- No AI, no credits, nothing is sent anywhere.
- It only runs once.
Detect tags
To run detection again on a folder (after renaming or importing grids, for example), open the folder's menu and choose Detect tags. A preview shows what will happen, for example "42 grids, 3 without a match". Click Apply to add the tags.
A folder's tags
They apply to everything inside
Folder tags apply to everything inside the folder (grids, concepts, subfolders). To edit them, tap the pencil next to the folder's name at the top of its page (or + Tags when it has none), or right-click the folder and choose Folder tags….
Each tag you add or remove applies right away to all its grids, concepts and subfolders; each item's other tags stay as they are. Removed a tag by mistake? Tap Undo in the Tag removed message to put it back on the folder and on its content. Tap Done to close.
New grids inherit
A grid or subfolder created in a tagged folder receives that folder's tags (except Other tags).
Tags follow moves
When you move a grid, a concept or a folder (Move), it loses the tags of its old folder that the new one does not have, and takes the new folder's tags. For a folder, everything inside does the same. Other tags and the item's own tags (those the old folder did not have) stay. Moved to the root, it only loses its old folder's tags. Items moved before this version keep their tags.
What you see on a grid
In your library, a card's tags fit on one line, so every card keeps the same height: each card shows its first three tags, then +N for the others. In a folder, a grid's card shows its own tags as text (the ones that set it apart), then the tags it already gets from the folder as plain colour dots, with no text: hover a dot to read the tag and its type ("Position: UTG"). You no longer read "MTT, 10-max, UTG" under every grid of the UTG folder.
At the top of a grid's or a concept's page, all the tags show, with no cross, on one line or more if needed, on every visit. The pen after the last tag reminds you they can be edited: tap it anywhere to go straight to editing, in place, with no frame: Tags − at the start of the row, all the tags with their cross, then + Add a tag. Tap Tags or the − right next to it (Collapse tags) to go back to one line.
In your library, a folder also shows its own tags on its row, followed by the tags that all its grids carry (subfolders included): hover them to read "Common to every grid in the folder". A folder's page shows them next to its name: tap them or the pencil to open Folder tags.
Removing a tag
The tags on display have no cross: you cannot remove one by mistake. To remove a tag:
- On the grid's page, tap the tag line (or choose Edit tags in the grid's menu)
- Tap the tag's cross
- A Tag removed message shows for a few seconds: tap Undo to put the tag back
- Tap Tags − (at the start of the row) when you are finished
Tags coming from the folder are shown muted. Removing one of them removes it from this grid only: the folder keeps it.
Filtering by tag
In your library, the Filter by tag field offers tags grouped by category. The rule:
- Within a category, at least one tag:
15–20bb+25–40bb(Stack) finds grids at 15–20bb or at 25–40bb. - Across categories, every one must match:
15–20bb(Stack) +Bubble(Stage) finds grids that are 15–20bb and bubble.
The filter applies right in your usual folders, and in the folder content shown below them: only the matching items stay, each folder with their count next to its name; folders without a match are hidden. You browse as usual. The name search works the same way, on its own or with tags.
Ready-made filters
At the top of the Filter by tag panel, the Ready-made filters row offers one-tap filters: common situations (Opens, BB defense, BTN facing a 3bet, Facing an open, Facing a 3bet…) and the table sizes of your library (6-max, 9-max, Heads-up…). Only the ones that find something in your library show. A ready-made filter fills your search when it is empty, otherwise it adds a search ("or", see below). It is the only filter entry: the old number-of-players filter is gone, the table size is a tag.
Several searches
A single search cannot say "all my opens, plus the grids facing an open against the Button or the Cut-off": opens carry no Vs tag, so they would be left out. Once you have picked some tags in the Filter by tag panel, click + Add a search (at the end of the Active filter bar): a new empty search opens, with its own tags. An item shows as soon as it matches at least one of the searches (each follows the rule above).
- Spot
Openor SpotFacing an open+ Vsvs Button,vs Cut-off→ every open, plus only the grids facing an open against the Button or the Cut-off.
As soon as a tag is picked, the Active filter bar states in words what is filtered, one line per search, separated by "or" (for instance "Open or vs Button / vs Cut-off, and Facing an open"). A line's pen opens it again in the panel (with several searches, the one you are editing is marked "being edited"), its ✕ removes it. + Add a search sits at the end of that bar. In the panel, the picked tags are filled, with a check mark. The name search applies on top, to every search.
If you only use Other tags, nothing changes for you: they form a single category, so an item matches as soon as it carries at least one of the chosen tags.
