Your Program
Your program is what you work on to improve: your format (MTT, Cash game…), and your table size. Everything the review page offers for grids stays inside it: the counts, the Review a grid queue and the hands of Situations.
So if your library holds 300 grids but you play 9-max MTTs, the app only talks to you about your 9-max MTT grids.
Where to find it
At the top of the Learn Today page: Your format and Your table. The word "program" no longer shows on screen, but this is it: your format and your table size.
Further down, My sessions lists your routines (see My sessions), and the One grid tile of Review by theme gives you two numbers:
- N in total: every grid your program covers
- M due today: the ones spaced repetition asks you to review today, plus the ones you have never reviewed yet
Your program's grids are every grid of your format and table size. Your sessions do not narrow it: each one works on its own part.
Your format and table
No program to build anymore: on your first visit, the Learn Today page sets your format itself (MTT if you have the MTT path, otherwise the format of most of your grids) and the table size of most of its grids, and prepares a warm-up session as an example. No run starts by itself. If you are new, the quick start asks your format, then the page prepares the warm-up.
You then change them in one tap, at the top of the page:
Your format: the formats of your library (MTT, Cash game, Spin…). The MTT path and its tournament phases exist in MTT only.
Your table: Full ring or 6-max; Other size lists every table size of your grids of that format, with their number of grids (for example 8-max (80)), and All tables. If none of your grids has a table size, the question does not show.
If your grids are 10-max (as in the Structured MTT, MTT path (discovery) and Cash game ranges to adapt packs), you get every size, from 10-max (Full ring) down to Heads-up. A table of N players keeps the last N seats of UTG, UTG+1, MP, MP+1, LJ, HJ, CO, BTN, SB, BB: your grids for those seats, and the "vs X" grids whose X is seated. Your grids keep their names: "at 6, the first to act plays the LoJack ranges". In Situations, the table is set with those N seats (6-max: LJ, HJ, CO, BTN, SB, BB).
It is saved at once in your account (you find it on all your devices) and kept on your device so it shows as soon as the page opens. Changing the format or the table keeps your sessions, which then work in your new format and table.
- If none of your grids has a format yet, the page stays without a setting: every grid counts. Tag your grids' format, or run Detect tags.
The format and table size rely on your grids' tags (Format and Table size categories).
My sessions
A session is a Situations routine you replay in one tap, for example before you play: one or more blocks, always in the same order, and a duration. They are in My sessions, on the Learn Today page, and the first three are also shortcuts at the top of the Strategy page.
Each card gives the session's name, its duration (for example 20 hands in 3 blocks, with to review only in Review mode), then its blocks in order: one row per block with its number, its tags as chips (positions first, the rest in +N) and its share of the duration on the right. The duration is split evenly across the blocks, in order (20 hands over 3 blocks: 7 + 7 + 6; 5 min over 2 blocks: 3 + 2). A session that ends on your cards has a last Cards row (or Cards, 20 max), marked not counted: the cards come after the hands. Tapping the card plays it at once, with no other choice. Every chip is in Edit my sessions and in the What your session will play recap at the bottom of a session's form.
On your first visit, the page prepares an example session, marked Example:
| Format | Session | What it plays | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| MTT | Warm-up: early tournament opens | your early tournament opens | 5 min |
| The others | Warm-up: opens | your opens | 5 min |
Each session has a mode:
- Review: only the grids to review (never reviewed or due). When everything is up to date, the page says "Nothing to review in this sequence for now".
- Free: every grid, whatever your reviews.
To play every grid of your format and table, without a session, use the Situations card of Review by theme.
Your MTT path
With the MTT concepts (the Structured MTT pack, or the free MTT path (discovery)), the review page shows "Your MTT path": 7 steps, from the poker basics to the final table. It is base content to get started fast, which you build on with your own notes: not a course. The concepts are imported in the app language once translated (English, French and German today), in French otherwise.
| Step | Concepts to read | Grids |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Getting started in poker | 10 | your opening ranges (the "Early stage" block of Structured MTT) |
| 2. Early stage | 5 | the "Early stage" block |
| 3. Middle stage | 2 | the middle stage, 40–60bb to 15–25bb |
| 4. The bubble | 1 | the bubble |
| 5. After the bubble (ITM) | 1 | ITM |
| 6. Late stage | 5 | the late stage |
| 7. Bonus concepts | 8 | none (read any time) |
Concept titles follow the language of the concepts. Step titles and the folder names of the concepts (MTT concepts › 1. Getting started in poker, 2. Tournament play stage by stage, 3. Bonus) follow the app language.
- The steps show one below the other, the step in progress with its next action. Tap a step (any of them, the order is not forced) for its three phases: its concepts in order (checked once read) with "Read: …", its cards with "Review the step's cards", and its grids, which you play in Situations for 3, 5, 10 or 15 min, inside your program. See Your MTT path.
- At the end of each concept of the path, "I've read it": its cards join your reviews (until then, they wait). Then "Next concept" or "Back to the path".
- Your reading is kept if you import the pack again or move from the discovery to the full path.
MTT path (discovery), free
The MTT path (discovery) card of the pack gallery (offered right after sign-up, and through the "Import ranges" button when your library is empty) imports the Structured MTT › 1. Early stage block (the 100 10-max early-stage grids, organised by position then by opponent), step 1 in full (the 10 concepts, with your early-stage opening ranges) and the first concept of step 2 (94 review cards in all). It sets your MTT program up if you have none, then opens the review page on your path. Reviews follow the free plan limits.
The next steps show a lock: a click opens the subscription screen. Once step 1 is read, "You have the basics!" offers the rest. With a subscription, "Import the full path" (Structured MTT) completes the same folder with the other stages, next to the early-stage grids: your reviews are kept, nothing is lost.
Creating and editing your sessions
New session, under My sessions, opens a new session at once; Edit my sessions opens My sessions full screen: New session, edit (the pencil), move up, move down, duplicate or delete a session (20 at most). The ready-made sessions of your format you no longer have are offered under Ready-made sessions to add, with Add. Each change is saved at once; Close takes you back to the page.
A session has a name, a Mode (Review or Free), 1 to 5 blocks, optional cards at the end, and a Duration (10, 20 or 50 hands, Unlimited, or 3 to 15 min; 20 hands by default): "One tap on "Start" plays this duration, shared between the blocks." For each block you can tick folders (Choose folders: each folder counts with everything it holds) and you pick the grids with your grids' tags (position, spot, stack…, never the format or the table size: those are set at the top of the page), Vary the position and Vary the stack. While you edit a session, it takes the whole screen; its changes are saved as soon as you click its Save.
End with your cards adds your cards after the hands: pick the folders and the tags of their concepts (no tag: all your due cards); the page tells you how many are due today. When the hands are over, the end screen shows "Next: your cards" and Continue with your cards. In My sessions, the line says it, for example "Open, then your cards (Early stage)".
What about your concepts?
Your concepts follow your format and table, like your grids: a concept is in when it carries your format and, if it carries a table size tag, it matches your table. A pack's concepts tagged MTT (for example the tournament concepts of MTT Concepts) are therefore in every MTT program. Your due cards, the Cards tile, the menu badge and your card sessions only take those concepts. Without a setting, every concept counts.
Library without tags
If no grid matches your format and table, the Situations card shows "No grid for your format and table" and Edit takes you back to the setting. You can also run Detect tags on a folder.
Free or subscribed
Without a subscription, you can start the ready-made sessions (10 hands, split across their blocks), within your free Situations run of the day (reveal blurred from the 6th hand). New session, editing or duplicating a session, and starting one you created (it shows a lock) open the subscription offer.
What about review cards?
Your review cards come from your program's concepts (What about your concepts?): the Cards tile shows today's due cards of your whole program.
Where you miss most
When you played Situations in the last 30 days, the page can show the situation where you make the most mistakes, for example:
You often miss: BB defense, 20–25bb 58 % correct over 25 hands (last 30 days)
Under the line, How is this calculated explains it in two sentences.
- It groups the hands of all your Situations sessions (express sessions and sequences included) by the tags of their grids: position, opponent, spot and stack.
- It only shows when at least 20 hands back it and you answer it right less than 80 % of the time. Only the grids of your program count.
- Tap the line to fill the Review by theme filter with that situation: the counts and every Start follow it. Tap it again to remove the filter.
- Once the line is tapped, Practise starts a Situations session on it right away. On the free plan the line shows too, and the session follows the usual limits (10 hands).
