Progression, XP and Badges

Every review earns you XP. XP moves you up levels. And every level gives you AI credits to claim. The Progression page brings it all together: your level, your activity log, your rewards and your badges.

Earning XP

XP comes from simple, repeatable actions:

ActionXP
Rating a flashcard+10 XP
Rating a grid+10 XP
First connection of the day+10 XP
Unlocking a badge+10 to +1,500 XP depending on the badge

The amount is deliberately identical for a card and a grid: what matters is the volume of repetitions, not their nature.

Days without a review count too

Opening the app gives you 10 XP and preserves your streak, even with nothing due. This exists so busy days don't break your momentum.

Levels

Your total XP determines your level. The curve is progressive: each level costs more than the previous one.

  • Level 1: 0 XP (your starting point)
  • Level 2: 50 XP
  • Level 5: 500 XP
  • Level 10: 3,000 XP
  • Level 14: 10,000 XP

Past level 14, progression does not stop: each additional level costs 2,500 XP, the same step as the last one in the curve. You can keep climbing for as long as you keep reviewing.

Your level and your progress toward the next one are shown at the top of the Progression page as a ring.

AI credits granted at each level

Every time you reach a new level, AI credits are waiting for you. They are not credited automatically: you claim them with one click from the Progression page.

Level reachedCredits granted
Level ending in 0 (10, 20, 30…)150 credits
Level ending in 5 (5, 15, 25…)100 credits
Every other level50 credits

Good to know:

  • Level 1 grants nothing, it is your starting point rather than a level you reached
  • Rewards are granted up to level 100. Beyond that, levels still exist for the pleasure of climbing, but without credits
  • These credits add to the ones from your subscription, they don't replace them

Credits power the AI features: coaching, note structuring, flashcard extraction. See Subscription for the credit system in detail.

Your streak

Your streak counts the consecutive days you have been active. Reviewing counts, and simply opening the app counts too.

  • One fully inactive day resets the streak to zero
  • Your longest streak is kept separately and unlocks badges

There is no joker and no freeze. If you are short on time, open the app for a few seconds: that's enough.

The activity log

A calendar shows your activity over the last 12 months, month by month. Every active day is marked.

It's the best tool for spotting your real patterns: the weeks you drop off, the stretches where you hold the rhythm, and the concrete effect of a change in habit.

Badges

Poker Toolkit offers 24 badges across several groups. Each one unlocks extra XP.

GroupWhat it rewards
Getting startedCreating your first concept, your first grid, doing your first review, holding 3 days
CommunitySharing your review to help other players discover the app
StreaksHolding 3, 7, 14, 30, 60 and 100 consecutive days
ConceptsCreating 5 and 10 concepts, then reviewing 10, 50, 100, 500, 1,000 and 5,000 cards
MasteryMastering 50 flashcards
GridsCreating 5 and 10 grids, then reviewing 10, 100, 500, 1,000 and 5,000 grids

Three tabs let you filter: All, Unlocked, Locked. Locked badges show their condition, and some offer a direct shortcut to the action to perform.

Accessing the page

Best practices

  1. Claim your credits regularly. They wait for you on the page, but until you click, they are not on your account.
  2. Aim for consistency, not volume. 10 cards a day beats 200 cards on Sunday, for memorization as well as for levels.
  3. Use locked badges as a roadmap. They point at parts of the app you haven't explored yet.
  4. Don't game the system. Over-rating your reviews to farm XP costs you the only benefit that matters: remembering your ranges at the table.
