Equity Calculator

Calculate the precise equity of your ranges against opponent ranges with Poker Toolkit's ultra-fast calculation engine.

What Is It?

The equity calculator allows you to compare 2 to 6 ranges simultaneously to determine the win probability (equity) of each range on a given board.

How to Use

  1. Define your ranges: Use text notation (e.g., AA-JJ, AK, AQs) or the visual grid
  2. Define the board (optional): Add flop, turn and/or river to analyze a post-flop spot
  3. Choose precision: Exact, Medium or Fast
  4. Run the calculation: Results are displayed

Range notation:

  • AA-JJ = Pairs from AA to JJ
  • AKs = AK suited only
  • AKo = AK offsuit only
  • AK = All AK variants

Equity by Next Card

Overall equity tells you whether you are ahead. The next-card analysis tells you what it depends on.

Once a calculation runs with a board, the "Equity by next card" section shows you, card by card, how your equity would move: which cards help you, which ones hurt.

How to Use It

  1. Run a calculation with at least a flop
  2. Pick the range whose equity you want to analyze in the "Equity analyzed for" selector
  3. Click "Analyze turn cards" (or "river" if the turn is already dealt)
  4. Every remaining card in the deck appears with the equity it would produce

Reading the Result

  • A reference line marks your current equity
  • Cards above the line move you forward, cards below move you back
  • The distance from the line tells you by how much, which is often more telling than the direction alone

Going One Street Deeper

From the turn analysis, click a card to play it and immediately see equity at the river. The new reference becomes your equity on the chosen turn.

This is the most direct way to understand why a board is good or bad for your range: instead of a single number, you see the full distribution of possible run-outs.

Limits

  • Maximum 9,999,999 preflop combinations: Beyond that, calculation is blocked (reduce your ranges)
  • Calculations not saved: Results are ephemeral
