Learn Today
Learn Today is the page that brings your whole daily review into one place: your concept flashcards and your range grids. One page to open every day, one question to ask yourself: what do I need to review today?
Why a single page?
Memorization used to be scattered: flashcards on one side, grid draw mode on the other, with no shared agenda. The result is that you review whatever comes to mind, not what you are about to forget.
Since April 2026, both go through the same SM-2 algorithm and the same front door:
- You no longer choose what to review, the app tells you
- You see at a glance what is left for the day
- Your consistency is measured across both at once
Today's summary
At the top of the page, a banner gives you the state of your day:
- Today's reviews: how many cards and grids you have already rated, updated live as your session goes
- Your streak: the number of consecutive days you have been active
- A milestone: a message when you cross a threshold
- The community: how many other players are reviewing right now
If you haven't done anything yet, the banner says so plainly: "Nothing done today, now is the moment".
The two entry points
Review your cards
Starts the review of all your due flashcards, across every concept. The tile shows how many cards are waiting.
The flow is the one described in Spaced Repetition: question, answer, self-assessment Success / Medium / Failed.
Review your grids
Starts the review of your due range grids. The tile shows how many grids are waiting.
Each grid opens in focus mode: a breadcrumb reminds you where you are in your library, you draw the grid from memory, submit, compare, and rate yourself. See Draw Mode for the details.
At the end of each grid, you choose:
- One more: move on to the next grid in your session
- Finish: close the session
A greyed-out tile is not an error
When a queue is empty, the tile stays visible but becomes inactive, with the message "Nice work, nothing more for today". This is deliberate: you see that it is done, not that it vanished.
Today's history
Below the two entry points, you find the list of grids already reviewed today:
- The grid name and its location in your library
- Your rating: Success, Medium or Failed
- A thumbnail of what you drew, compared to the expected range
This is useful at the end of a session to spot at a glance the grids you struggled with.
The review pill
While you browse your strategy, a floating reminder shows the number of cards and grids left to review, with direct access to the page.
It is unobtrusive by design:
- It stays hidden as long as the "Learn Today" button is visible at the top of the page
- It slides in from the right as soon as that button scrolls off screen
- It disappears on review, practice and new-concept pages
In other words, you never have two reminders on screen at the same time.
Accessing the page
- From the "Learn Today" button at the top of your strategy
- From the floating pill once you have scrolled
- Directly: poker-toolkit.com/en/app/strategy/review
Best practices
- Open this page first, before creating or editing anything. Review first, produce second.
- Empty both queues rather than just one. Cards and grids train two different kinds of memory.
- Do it before your poker session, not after. Ten minutes of review beats an hour of hindsight analysis.
- Open the app even on quiet days: your streak is preserved and you earn XP, even with nothing due.
